Tom Watson lost the playoff to Stewart Cink at Sunday's British Open. But the 59-year old golfer's stirring performance generated a publicity bonanza for his sponsors.

Titleist and Polo can't complain either. Watson played the Titleist Pro V1 ball. The nattily dressed golfer sported Polo sweaters at Turnberry .

"The exposure has been phenomenal," Adams Golf Betting chief executive Chip Brewer said. "All I've been doing all day is texting and emailing friends and business associates who were as excited about his performance as I am."
