Golf Betting-YE Yang Tops Tiger Woods for PGA Betting Victory

Courtesy of a miraculous chip in at #14 and a cool and calm nature that most cannot show when paired with Tiger Woods on a Sunday in the final pairing, little known Korean golfer, YE Yang captured the 2009 PGA golf betting Championship at Hazeltine.

Woods, a sizeable +165 favorite coming into the event was lined as high as -400 before the final day started to capture the title coming into Sunday’s PGA golf betting affair. He had never lost a major in which he had led after 54 holes.

Online Sportsbook SPORTSBETTING.COM gives more information on Tiger woods.

But Yang would not be denied. He had erased the two-shot deficit through nine holes, and proved that he could stand shot for shot with arguably the greatest golfer of all-time. Yang had an opportunity to put Woods down on the 17th hole, but after watching Tiger bogey from a similar line, Yang’s par put lipped out and he had to settle for a bogey of his own. He responded with a fantastic approach shot on the 18th. Tiger found the rough on his approach, and Yang was able to finish the deal with a birdie.

Woods was shutout from winning a major tournament in 2009.
