Golf Betting:Woods' excellence drives TV ratings for Buick Open

Top-ranked Tiger Woods' three-stroke victory in Sunday's Buick Open yielded a 167 percent rise in the television rating from last year's tournament.

CBS Sports officials said Monday the overnight rating for the PGA Tour event in Grand Blanc Township, Mich., was 4.0, up from a 1.5 rating for last year's tournament — when Woods was recovering from knee surgery and did not play.

It was the highest final-round rating for the Buick Open since it received a 4.3 in 2006, another tournament Woods won.
